The softest of my socks in a medium weight with a mid calf rise. Cashmere and merino wool blended together, both breathable and warm. A little nylon and lycra help the wool to least and keep 'em staying up all day long.
Naturally dyed with plants and flowers in these colorways:
- Green solid - weld and iron
- Mustard solid - Himalayan rhubarb
- Clay pink solid - madder and red tannin
Hand wash with tepid water, do not dry.

Naturally dyed with plants
All my socks and scrunchies are naturally dyed - which is a 4 day process. Each natural fibre needs to be scoured on day one, and then treated with a mordant the next day. Then its plant dyeing time, which usualy takes a couple more days!
Each dye bath can be used a number of times, giving lighter and lighter shades until it is exhausted. Then the spent plants end up in my compost. Plant dyeing saves water and says a big no thank you to synthetic nasties that pollute waterways.
